The former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, is expected to vacate his official residence in Civil Lines within a week, according to AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
Kejriwal resigned from his position as Chief Minister and was urged by AAP leaders not to vacate the house due to security concerns, but he decided to move out despite their advice.
The AAP leader Atishi, a close confidant of Kejriwal, has been elected as the new Chief Minister. Kejriwal announced his resignation and stated that he would not resume the role until he received a “certificate of honesty” from the people of Delhi.

He also demanded that assembly polls be held in November. Kejriwal had been arrested in connection with the excise policy case but was later granted bail.
Aam Aadmi Party MP Sandeep Pathak alleged that the BJP had orchestrated Kejriwal’s arrest to force his resignation and break the Aam Aadmi Party, but the plan did not succeed.
